You do have to give them your email address so they can send you the voucher code but you don’t have to sign up to any newsletters. Also, you must use that same email address when placing your first order.
I have to say their delivery service is really good. Even orders up to 8pm can be delivered the next day (and for free if over £45 ex. VAT) which is one of the best in the business, better even than Selco, Travis Perkins or Wickes.
